HELP A START-UP – A CALL TO ARMS!

MAKE A DIFFERENCE!

There is a lot of digital construction talent that is not going to find a new job easily.

One solution is to start up a consultancy service.  With zero to minimal capital required and low risk, it is, at least, financially viable.  For some, it may be the only option.

But it can be daunting setting up on your own, especially if you have been an employee all your life.  So, this is a call to arms to help a start up!

I am hoping there is a big bunch of altruistic people out there who would be happy to promote their companies, free of charge, in exchange for a little free advice to help budding enterprises get off the ground and succeed.

Maybe some of you have just started up.  This could be a good way to generate new business for you too.

Step 1: Today – start building an online directory (at dbe.careers) of people / companies who want to help including:

  • Business plan experts
  • Funding experts (ideally with construction industry expertise)
  • Accountancy experts
  • Marketing experts (ideally with construction industry expertise)
  • Graphic designers
  • Web designers

Step 2: Next week – promote both the altruistic experts and the new start-ups they help to the whole construction industry – via dbe.careers and wider.

This would be free of charge for enough time to help start-ups get the traction they need.

If you are interested in helping others start up and/or you want to use dbe.careers to promote your start up, please contact Mike Johnson to get this ball rolling.
