HELP FOR JOB HUNTERS:

Useful resources for finding a good job, getting an interview and nailing it:

1: Finding a good job

Good BIM jobs are scarce as you can see on our opportunities page but there is increasing optimism. To make sure you have the best choice we have started inviting clients to promote their opportunities here as well. As optimism converts into opportunities you will start to see them all here.

2: Getting an interview

The market has never been more competitive. Your CV has to differentiate you. With over 30 years’ experience, Mike Johnson (JohnsonBIM) has put together the 9 golden rules to make your CV stand out from the crowd.

See our latest tweet for the shortened version in slides.

3: Impressing at interview

If you have got this far, your CV has helped differentiate you and the employer is obviously interested. Interview better than anyone else and the job is yours. With remote interviews increasingly being the trend, Mike Johnson shares his golden rules on how to impress in a remote interview.

…AND IF YOU CAN’T FIND A JOB

Let the work find you. In a risk averse market, with unpredictable workloads, clients feel more comfortable hiring freelancers. Last month we launched the BIM Experts Directory to help BIM Experts set up and promote their freelance services.

The website lists your details (anonymously if you wish) for clients to find you easily and contact you directly when they need BIM expertise on-demand.

If you would like to find out more about the BIM Expert Directory, you can read more here.
