WEEKLY REPORT

Here’s what we have found most interesting for the BIM career centric this week.

Mr.Smith with psalm #22 – it’s important that everyone respects each other in the AEC workplace and if you’re feeling undermined, find a company where you feel appreciated instead!

CAREER OPPORTUNITY OF THE WEEK

DATA SCIENTISTS

A change from the norm but a sign of where the market is heading.  Data ‘science’ is where  lot of energy and investment is going with the thought leaders now.  This team is already a highly respected digital construction consultancy and now they are investing into industry leading data centric decision making research and IP.  They are looking for excitng data analysts with good ‘trend spotting’ experience and more senior expertise to sit with clients to develop solutions.

See our opportunities page for a wide range of BIM and a few Digital Technology career opportunities.

ARTICLE OF THE WEEK

BIM Today’s article on Edinburgh Napier University’s AEC Technology Lab.   Skill up the next generation to deliver better and sustainably!

QUOTE OF THE WEEK

“Construction technology is not a commodity – a basic, interchangeable good like lumber or crude oil. Rather, it is a strategic investment with the potential to add long-term value across the entirety of the company.”

Researchers from US Consultancy FMI Corporation – see the full article here.
