NOW IS THE TIME TO WIN THE BATTLE FOR BIM TALENT IN JANUARY

Omicron permitting, January is usually the best time of year to find career hungry candidates as many come out of the Christmas break looking for a change. BIM specialists are no different. However, because of the increase in job applications, it is also the time when more employers advertise. One thing is for certain, there will not be enough good, BIM centric, candidates for the number of opportunities. It will be a battle to beat others to the best.

“The general who wins a battle makes many calculations in his temple ere the battle is fought. The general who loses a battle makes but few calculations beforehand. Thus do many calculations lead to victory, and few calculations to defeat: how much more no calculation at all! It is by attention to this point that I can foresee who is likely to win or lose.”

Here is a 2 part, calculated, strategy to increase your chances of victory:

PART ONE:

‘Twas the week before Christmas… when all through the office not a creature was stirring, not even a magic mouse…

Make the most of the quiet time in between parties to get your house in order and get ahead of the rush. And reach candidates with the right sentiment before they go off to think about their work-life priorities over the festive break.

Tip: Post your job before 17th December to maximise results

PART TWO:

Make a new year’s resolution to act fast and make the most of valuable recruitment opportunities so you don’t get left behind in the 2022 race for BIM talent.

Candidates returning unhappily to their old roles on 4 January will be more responsive, especially when they read the new January BIM Salary Guide.

  • Post a new job advert to refresh your profile and move to the top of the job board
  • Collaborate on a feature article or video interview to maximise interest in your role(s)
  • Sponsor the BIM Salary Guide to exclusively promote your brand and roles to the thousands of BIM centric visitors that read this quarterly release
  • Promote your new ad(s) via social media during the critical first fortnight: 4th & 10th January.

The next BIM Salary Guide will be published on the 11th of January – email support@dbe.careers today to be the first to secure this sponsorship opportunity
