This month: we are focusing on the launch of our initiative to help BIM Experts being made redundant.

BIM EXPERT DIRECTORY

In our May Insights, we reported on the rising need for on-demand digital experts.

Responding to the need for a fast, post-Covid solution we are launching v1.0 of the BIM Experts Directory today and we are now inviting BIM specialists to register to secure their profile listing for free. From next week we will be actively promoting this to construction industry employers.

STATE OF THE NATION

…and the logic behind the BIM Experts Directory…

Two articles this week emphasise the likelihood of increasing redundancies and the need for a more affordable means of delivering good BIM.

#1: The long slog:
Construction Products Association has warned the construction industry to expect a “long slog ahead” after it predicted a 25% fall in output across Great Britain during 2020 as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.

#2: Chancellor in delicate game of economic Kerplunk
Phasing out furlough will, inevitably, increase redundancies.

BIM SALARY TRACKER

Click here to see our Salary Trackers for both Build and Architecture. Please note these guides were correct up until May. Since then many companies have reduced salaries in order to survive the pandemic. Some have not. Until a new-normal resumes, the best advice we can give is to use these pre-pandemic guides purely as a point of reference.
