This article in pbctoday features one of the early BIM Pioneers – John Eynon.  It will help you understand the reality of the bigger picture BIM journey and how important the next generation of pioneers are to maintain momentum.

And not just on our little island but further afield.

There is huge potential for next generation BIM to capitalise on the solid foundations built by John and others.  We can ‘…sell our expertise and our cutting edge technologies across the world and seize a share of the $15 trillion global construction market forecast by 2025…’  This excerpt from the Digital Britain archive (page 5).

That was nearly 5 years’ ago.  Pre Brexit!  We’re not as fantastic as we should be but I still hear team GB getting plaudits for leading BIM expertise around the world.

With the blockade cleared in Whitehall this should be an opportunity to take our collective foot off the brakes and push digital better.  With more pro-active and inspiring people at the forefront YOU can capitalise on the good work John and others have started.

The future of Digital Built Britain is in your hands but why stop there?

Onwards, upwards and outwards.
