| LEADERSHIP
Chris Crookes is our Managing Director at BIMBox.
His passion for digital construction and delivering clarity in communication see him consistently deliver opportunity and value to projects. Chris has led Information Management on innovative developments including The Catalyst at Newcastle University, Meridian Water Station in London and The Spine at the Knowledge Quarter in Liverpool.
Chris’s key areas of focus include working with organisations to increase their organisational resilience, futureproof workstreams and supporting them to deliver projects more effectively through the effectiveness of clearly defined digital strategies. Chris regularly supports the BIM employment sector, providing thought leadership to DBE Careers, as well as guest speaking at panels. Recent DBE Careers pieces have included the “top 5 tips for those looking to build a career in Digital Construction and BIM” and “the great BIM salary debate”. |

There is a large scope for career progression within BIMBox and development paths are not capped by any conventional routes. Our people and teams grow alongside the business and can move forward, undertake new challenges and get the most out of their careers through regular advancements.
BIMBox’s professional development focuses on helping our employees build a life-long, successful career in BIM. With a constantly evolving landscape within digital construction, our training and development focuses upon specialist software skills, as well as soft skills, in areas including communication, presentation and teamwork.
The construction industry and the BIM discipline in particular is experiencing rapid change and evolution – and no one comes into BIM knowing it all. Knowledge-sharing is constant and training and support is provided on the job in a supportive and constructive environment.
Internally, our Directors provide regular team and lessons learned session to share knowledge from any new project or industry update to ensure continuous improvement. External opportunities for training are also considered to ensure maximum value is provided to employees. |
| WELLBEING
Our policy towards wellbeing for our staff focuses upon four core areas: professional development, social connection, physical health and mental health.
Social connectedness, and feeling supported, is a key aspect of what makes BIMBox team unique. We enable this in a number of ways – through a social office, recognising achievements and organising regular events. When remote working, we arrange check-ins to ensure everyone is feeling connected, supported and positive.
For physical and mental health, BIMBox provides gym membership to all our staff within our office and sees that time can be taken to use gym facilities as part of a healthy regime. We also offer the Cycle to Work scheme for all staff.
Our welfare facilities for staff within our office are second-to-none, including soundproofed quiet zones for our team, as well as a garden roof terrace available throughout the day with fast Wi-Fi, to allow work in the outdoors when desired. |
