For years now, DBE.careers has published a well-used BIM Salary Guide, based on the insider knowledge from our recruitment partners at JohnsonBIM and the honest conversations they have with clients and candidates about salaries across the range of BIM roles in digital construction sectors: Design (Architects), Build (Contractors), and Advise (Consultants).

But as we all know, Data is King. So 2023 marks the launch of the DBE.careers Salary Survey. Designed to run in parallel with the expert sources of salary intelligence, we intend to build up a richer landscape of salaries beyond the point-of-hire picture.
You’ve told us there’s no reliable source of salary data for contracting and self-employment in digital construction; and you’d like to access a more granular analysis of factors like region, sector, geodemographics, business size, employer loyalty, etc. So we’ve designed our survey around what you want to know.
We’d like to aggregate data to show how BIM professionals progress over time and how their careers really map out against different salary ranges, to help employers and practitioners plan better for progression. And to help us design better tools and guidance to support growth and development.
The survey is anonymous and will take less than ten minutes to complete. If you’d like privileged access to the data you’re contributing to, you can submit your email address and we’ll share it with you first.
