GOOD DIGITAL EMPLOYER

DIGITAL VISION
Bond Bryan has a long history of adopting digital technology solutions. We went from drawing boards to our BIM authoring tool in 1992! But technology is only part of our vision. We have always believed that information should be shared using open standards and our whole approach to both our architectural (Bond Bryan Architects) and specialist consultancy (Bond Bryan Digital) is to use technology built around open standards. Whilst our fee income is driven by real life projects, we also want to be able to contribute to evolution of the approach to information management. This supports our vision of Better Information Management (BIM).
LEADERSHIP
Bond Bryan is driven by our whole team who bring different ideas to how we should develop our approach and deliver projects. Rob Jackson (Associate Director) though leads our Bond Bryan Digital team with the support of all team members but particularly Emma Hooper (Associate). Both Rob and Emma are recognised leaders in the application of BIM and information management and have recently been involved in contributions to the UK BIM Framework.
CULTURE
When we established Bond Bryan Digital, we wanted the brand to be focussed on a high-quality service. The individuals in our team bring different backgrounds and skills but it is important to listen to their ideas and encourage them to explore testing out these ideas. We all have specialist areas of expertise and we try to allow individuals to lead in these areas, but we all contribute and support each other. At the same time, we have a healthy environment to challenge each other and to speak openly about different approaches and ideas. This environment supports the right culture to deliver high quality information for all our projects as well as contributing to wider industry initiatives.
PROMOTION
Bond Bryan has always been keen to reward those who contribute to the ongoing success of the business. Bond Bryan Digital want to attract the best people and that means providing appropriate reward for excellent work. We have a formal appraisal process to support ongoing career development which is fully documented on our company database. At the same time, we encourage all staff to talk openly about their ambitions on an ongoing basis in more informal one to one meetings. This means we can work together to achieve your ambitions over a period of time and support you to get to where you want to be. However, we recognise that individuals are not all driven by the same things and some may be less focussed on career progression but still doing an excellent job. We try to encourage everyone to push forward and improve year on year within their specific roles whatever their personal ambitions.
WELLBEING
During the pandemic we have realised the need to support each other more than at any other time. This means that even where we are remote, we are all just a phone call away and we make a point of regularly formally catching up once a week as a team. But also, we have lots of informal catch-ups to keep in touch. Beyond the pandemic we will have a mix of office and home working. We also support individuals to attend industry events whether as a participant or as a speaker. This includes both national and international events where appropriate. We also have social events with the wider Bond Bryan team which include everything from go-karting to pub quizzes. There are also other significant company events that are arranged throughout the year and we have a monthly event to keep staff up to date with practice and project news.
