GOOD DIGITAL EMPLOYER
Bond Bryan has a long history of adopting digital technology solutions. We went from drawing boards to our BIM authoring tool in 1992! But technology is only part of our vision. Our goal has always been collaboration with our Clients and Consultant design teams, with a culture of excellence that pervades every commission that we undertake. We have always been at the forefront of interoperability and our whole approach to our core business (Bond Bryan Architects) and specialist consultancy (Bond Bryan Digital) is to use technology built around open standards.
Bond Bryan has a core team of influential digital leaders. Rob Jackson and Emma Hooper in the Bond Bryan Digital team are recognised leaders in the application of BIM and information management and have recently been involved in contributions to the UK BIM Framework. Rosey Alexander and Mark Hindley in the Bond Bryan team are also active leaders in the BIM community, with many years contributing to developments, speaking at national and international conferences and driving change both within Bond Bryan and reaching out to the wider construction community.
We are driven by our whole team who bring different ideas to how we should develop our approach and deliver projects. Bond Bryan staff are supported by a central team of BIM Managers, BIM Coordinators and Document Controllers. There are also specialists within each team who contribute to the testing, development and collection of ideas, feedback and amendments. The individuals in our practice bring different backgrounds and skills and it is important to listen to their ideas and encourage them to explore these ideas. We all have specialist areas of expertise and we try to allow individuals to lead in these areas, but we all contribute and support each other. At the same time, we have a healthy environment to challenge each other and to speak openly about different approaches and ideas. This environment supports the right culture to deliver high quality projects as well as contributing to wider industry initiatives.
Many of our digital leaders have grown up through the company, forging their own digital careers paths, and we continue to support this organic growth of talent within the practice. Bond Bryan has always been keen to reward those who contribute to the ongoing success of the business. We want to attract the best people and that means providing appropriate reward for excellent work. We have both formal and informal processes to support ongoing career development which inform our company-wide and individual training investments. At the same time, we encourage all staff to talk openly about their ambitions on an ongoing basis in more informal meetings. This means we can work together to achieve your ambitions over a period of time and support you to get to where you want to be. Individuals are not all driven by the same goals and we try to encourage and support everyone to push forward and improve year on year within their specific roles, whatever their personal ambitions.
At Bond Bryan we understand that our people are our most valuable asset and we are very proud of them; many have significant expertise and many years’ experience within our company. It is our continual objective to support, empower and give opportunities to our staff and to enhance their careers and produce great work. We believe strongly that people will do this if they feel they can be true to themselves whilst working here, comfortable in the knowledge that they will be supported and valued by their colleagues in the Bond Bryan family. It’s this approach that we feel makes Bond Bryan such a great place to work. Our growth continues to be organic, expanding the scale and role of existing studio locations and facilitating the progression of our talented people. In order to achieve this growth, we aim to be increasingly visible within our industry, well known for great design capability and diversify our sectors. We look to innovate and also satisfy staff training needs: developing our professional skills, use of technology and range of services, so that we are efficient yet able to offer the very best experience to our people, project partners and clients.
