WEEKLY REPORT
Our weekly round-up of relevant news for the BIM centric….
GREAT BRITISH BOUNCE-FORWARD BULLETIN
Our focus this week has been on Boris + Co. firmly placing “build, build, build” front and centre of economic recovery for the UK. Coupled with the commitment to smarter construction, the outlook for the BIM and career centric looks promising. It will take a while for the wider industry to get over the post furlough head count axing but there should now be less pressure on digital talent and a quicker return to the pre-pandemic level of demand.
OUR TOP BIM JOB THIS WEEK
As the industry slowly recovers and while the xl spreadsheet is king, non-essential (central overhead funded) work will be outsourced. It may cost more but it is less risky – quickly and easily axed if need be. This was referred to in our ‘on-demand digital construction experts‘ article in May and why we recently launched the BIM Experts Directory.
We are already seeing the better BIM Consultancies recruiting again. This week, our top job is with one of the best….
BIM MANAGER : SHEFFIELD – a rare opportunity to step up and take on more responsibility with inspiring BIM thought leaders helping major clients and contractors understand, design and implement BIM excellence on important projects across the UK.
Although good BIM opportunities are scarce we have the best of them at dbe.careers/opportunities – some live, some soon to be live all being well.
